Home Farms' GardenGuests are welcome to take a stroll around our garden, a peaceful haven alive with birdsong and buzzing bees. You'll see the garden when eating your breakfast but, if it's dry and warm, feel free to sit outside and make the most of it. The garden changes a lot throughout the year but from spring to autumn there is always something of interest. Home Farm attracts a large variety of birds, depending on the season: tree sparrows, chaffinches, greenfinches, goldfinches, siskins, goldcrests, blue tits; great tits; coal tits, long-tailed tits, blackbirds, thrushes, redwing, fieldfare, robins, dunnocks, wrens; jackdaws; rooks; hooded crows; the list goes on.....and we get the occasional sparrowhawk hunting for his dinner. The nearby woods contain both red kites and buzzards, both can be seen soaring over the garden. Throughout the summer, swallows, swifts and martins can be seen overhead and often drink from our pond.
Pots of flowers are used in the garden to give splashes of colour throughout the year.
